No one wants to be in the hospital at this time of the year, and to show that they had not been forgotten, 16 children admitted during this festive season at the Paediatric ward have been given gifts by the Seychelles Commercial Bank (SCB).
This took place in a short ceremony held yesterday at the Paediatric ward at the Seychelles Hospital.
Present during the ceremony were the bank’s chief executive Annie Vidot, employees of SCB, doctors and nurses of the paediatric ward.
“Now that it’s the Christmas season, we want to give a little present to the patients,” said Mrs Vidot. “No one wants to be in hospital at this time of the year of course, so to us SCB it’s a pleasure to put a little smile on the patients’ faces,” she added.
The hallway of the ward was very cheerful with lights and Christmas decorations and it was filled with enthusiasm imparted by the employees.
SCB has been doing this gesture for the past few years and it has already become a tradition which Mrs Vidot expects to continue in the future.
